Sewell Park Aquatic Center – $850,000
In September of 2013 Integrated Construction and Nobility worked with the constituents at Cobb County Parks and Recreation to construct a new Aquatics Facility. With a project value of $ 850,000, construction consisted of:
- Demolition of the existing facility
- Installation of a new waterpark and splash pad
- Pool reconstruction
- Reconstruction of bathhouse facility/concession area
- Pump house
- Fencing
- Sanitary sewer outfall line
- Storm drainage
- Retaining walls
- Parking area
As in most projects, time was of the essence at the Sewell Park Aquatic Center; construction was to start after summer 2013 season and had to be open before the spring 2014 season. While facing adverse weather conditions with snow, ice, and frigid temperatures, ICAN was able to manage its team and subcontractors, to complete the project 4 months ahead of its anticipated grand opening date. The facility was completed ahead of schedule and under budget with no change orders.
